Calin grew up in Romania, in the scenic mountain region of Transylvania. After a bout on cruiseships, he sets out from Florida to New Zealand on a 47ft ketch in 1999 and this adventure was to change his life forever. He truly fell in love with the sea and realized that he could no longer live away from it. He decided to make a career of it embarking on a 15 years journey on superyachts. He quickly grew passionate about windsurfing then windfoiling, he love anything to do with wind and water!

Sonia grew up near Paris, France and always had a passion for travel. She spent 12 years working her way around the world but it is not until she met Calin in New Zealand in 2005, that her land travels extended to the oceans. She begun the journey in superyachting with him, continuing her nomadic lifestyle on the sea. She enjoys spending her spare time practising yoga and mindfulness and loves anything outdoorsy, including windsurfing, hiking and kayaking.
